Real websites. Live and working.
Every site on this page was built and launched with Building Websites, from a driving school in Crawley to a network installer working across the UK. Visit the live sites, or drag the slider on our before-and-after rebuilds to compare the old homepage with the new one.
Three sections from four live client sites.
More than a homepage hero: a look further down the page at how each site sells, proves and reassures. Every one is live, so click through and explore.
Stagg Motoring School
A one-instructor driving school with a homepage that answers a nervous learner's questions before they pick up the phone.

The Est@blishment Hairdressing
A bold, characterful salon site that matches the personality of the team behind the chair.

LGN Ltd
A B2B site that leads with the client names and proof that larger buyers look for first.

Dean Ongley Decorating
A sole trader's site built around his own finished rooms and a long track record of reviews.

Nicholas Coysh Osteopathy & Wellbeing
A busy page of stock photos and small print became a confident homepage that leads with Nick himself.
Before: A crowded header, a collage of stock images and a two-minute video before visitors learned who Nick was or how to book.
What changed
- A clear promise in the headline: get back to the things you love, without the pain
- Nick's photo and credentials up front, so visitors meet the person who will treat them
- Call and email buttons in the first screen, with his Google rating beside them
- Trust markers such as his GOsC registration number and professional insurance in a strip below the hero

Mainstream Cleaning
From a generic stock hero to a homepage that speaks to the frustrations of facilities managers.
Before: A dark stock-photo hero with a general strapline, a recruitment pop-up and a cookie banner competing for attention.
What changed
- A headline built on the real reason clients switch: cleaners who turn up, every shift, every site
- A 'what you get' panel covering a regular team, a named contact and 24-hour put-right
- Named clients and their Google rating used as proof, high on the page
- Emergency cover promoted in a slim bar across the top

Wiking Plumbing & Heating
A general plumbing site repositioned to win high-end bathroom refits.
Before: A small logo, a one-line strapline and circular photos on a grey band, with little to separate Wiking from any other plumber.
What changed
- Repositioned around the work they want more of: beautiful bathrooms, built properly
- A full-height photo of a finished bathroom to sell the standard of the work
- Gas Safe, Google and Checkatrade badges next to the main call to action
- Project case studies and a clear 'book a consultation' path for higher-value enquiries

Next Level Property Maintenance
A template site with a pop-up and little detail became a homepage that answers a homeowner's first question.
Before: A template homepage with an 'announcement' pop-up, a cookie box and a stock photo, and little detail about the services offered.
What changed
- A headline that names the problem: fed up chasing tradesmen who don't turn up or call back
- Jake introduced by name, with the jobs he takes on and the area he covers
- Photos of his own finished jobs instead of stock imagery
- Two easy ways to get in touch: a free quote form or a WhatsApp photo of the job

Being Spirit
A sparse homepage for a trilogy of books became a shop window that puts the books front and centre.
Before: A mostly blank first screen with text sliding in from the side and no sign of the books themselves.
What changed
- All three book covers shown in the first screen
- A short, clear introduction to what the books are and who wrote them
- 'Find your book' and a sceptic's story as two paths for different readers
- Translations offered from the header for international readers

SPAE
A volunteer society's site rebuilt to turn local concern into paid memberships.
Before: A large slideshow of woodland photos with faded text, and membership buttons above the menu.
What changed
- A clear ask in the headline: keep Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale green for £12 a year
- A planning scorecard showing the society's results from last year
- A quote from the society's AGM minutes to back up the numbers
- 'Join for £12' repeated in the header and hero so it's always one click away
